elcome. Your visit to the Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Online Museum will provide a unique experience whether you are a student of history or on a spiritual journey.

You will learn about Elizabeth's early years as the daughter of Dr. Richard and Catherine Bayley, a prominent New York family; and as the wife of another prominent New Yorker, William Seton. Just as though you were walking through the museum itself, you will experience Elizabeth's years as wife and mother, her conversion from the Episcopal Church to the Roman Catholic faith, her founding of the Sisters of Charity, her legacy as an educator, and her canonization in 1975.

The Online Museum also provides access to educational resources. They include the CD-ROM that is part of the traveling museum; lesson outlines for educators; and a full-color, commemorative book on the life of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton.

When you complete your museum tour, we would welcome your comments.

The Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Online Museum is dedicated to Sr. Marie Loretta Bergin, SC, an educator and psychologist in early childhood development, and a Sister of Charity. Her dear friend, Dr. Elvira Carota, has made this Web site possible through a generous underwriting gift.
