I recently read the following words from the book, A Retirement Journey: “Everything that urges you to an outward growth – service, love, the simplest interest in the world – can be a step toward God.” This simple reflection has helped me to meet my grace daily.

A frequent saying during our formation years was “You give God a blank check – your life – and God will fill it in”. ….

      Like Mary and Elizabeth at the Visitation, [we are] still willing – and able – young or older - to bring forth new life and to make our own the words of Jesus in the gospel we chose for today– to bring good news, to proclaim liberty, a year of favor from the Lord….

      And so, we rejoice – in the faithfulness of God through seventy-five and fifty years of life as a Sister of Charity.
