As this New Year begins, my hope and my prayer is for Peace – peace in the world…in our country…in New York City… in our community. This is a tall order. I pray, dear Lord, that your peace which you have given to me so abundantly will be spread among us all, especially during this special year 2010.

When Christmas comes, we can – with renewed gratitude – thank God for becoming “one of us” with all that this means for being a new creation. … . Just as Christ became flesh 2000 years ago in Bethlehem, so too Christ becomes flesh for us in the people, relationships and events we encounter each day.
