L O G O

On the pages of our web site you will see our new logo. We officially adopted it on December 8, 2004 . We will display it proudly on all our materials so that we can be identified easily. Look for it!

What does a logo mean?

In St. John's Gospel, Jesus is declared logos , the Word that speaks who God is. Our logo is our word, a strong symbol and positive image of who we are as we share in the mission of Jesus.

It is the word of our lives spoken in response to the Gospel.

Reflections on our logo from a sister and an associate

The S of our service and the C of our contemplative approach to life express our spiritual heritage
from St. Vincent de Paul and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton.

The form of the S and C express movement - in to the center and out to the world. In the center we touch our charism of Charity - love of God and love of neighbor. We are sent out from the center to embrace our mission, serving all in need,
     especially the poor,
with passion and generosity, with joy and hope.

Our web site also carries our new tagline - a short sound bite way to say our Mission Statement.

Our tagline is Living Lives of Love .

It identifies the way we have lived for almost two hundred years,
the way we live our lives today,
the way we will continue to live into the years ahead.
