Her (Elizabeth Seton) great work in life, after the founding of her religious
community, was the opening of schools, both free and private, and setting
up, out of her wide experience, a system of classroom management and
curriculum organization that remains today a model for all who would
make the profession of teaching the noble calling that it should be.
