Spring arrives, light returns, flowers bloom!

With believers around the world, we celebrate Jesus’ victory over death, and recommit ourselves to live as His followers, baptized into His body.

From centuries ago, the words of our founders still resound, full of wisdom and insight for today. Our holy ones, Saints Elizabeth Ann Seton, Vincent de Paul, and Louise de Marillac, call us to open our hearts and minds to the rich graces of the Easter season.

ST. ELIZABETH ANN SETON
 — an Easter COMMUNION now — in my green pastures amidst the refreshing waters for which I thirsted truly.

Imagine…all with the devotion of Saints,…singing the hymn of the Resurrection; when they come to the words "Peace be to all here" it seems as if our Lord is again acting over the scene that passed with the assembled disciples.

As Magdalen at the Sepulchre… went on seeking her God and could find no rest but in him, so a heart which loves God truly will stop at nothing created because nothing can supply for its God, which it seeks everywhere, and in all things.

ST. VINCENT DE PAUL
Give me people of prayer and they will be capable of everything. They may say with the apostle, “I can do all things in the God who strengthens me.”

Grace is given abundantly in beginnings….[Just as in the early Church], that’s the fervor of beginners who want to serve God wholeheartedly.

ST. LOUISE DE MARILLAC
…to choose the life of Jesus Crucified as the model for our lives so that His Resurrection may be a means for glory for us in Eternity.

Are you being very courageous? Are you imitating the Good Shepherd who risks his life for the welfare and safety of the flock under His care?
