From centuries ago, the words of our founders still resound, full of wisdom and insight for today. Saints Elizabeth Ann Seton, Vincent de Paul, and Louise de Marillac walk with us through the days of the changing seasons.

Everywhere, in every moment, they show us how to discover the presence of a God of abundant love.

ST. ELIZABETH SETON
God will be a faithful God to you, if you are faithful to him.

God is God – that [is] the daily hourly strength of our heart … you must take courage with me and push on.

Who are we to praise thee – but we call on all thy creation to praise thee! the birds of the air, the inhabitants of the earth, and the depths of the sea, the mountains and the valleys, and whatever thou hast made – to praise, to bless, to declare thy glory.

ST. VINCENT DE PAUL
One can never have too great a supply of patience and mild persuasion

Our inheritance is the poor, the poor; pauperibus evangelizare misit me [“God has sent me to bring good news to the poor.” – Luke 4:18] What happiness …. To do that for which our Lord came from heaven to earth … to continue the work of God.

Let us love God. But let it be with the strength of our arms, and the sweat of our brow.

ST. LOUISE DE MARILLAC
Help me by your prayers, as I will help you by mine, so that we may obtain from God the grace to walk simply and confidently along the path of His holy love.

Do not be upset if things are not as you would want them to be
for a long time to come.
Do the little you can very peacefully and calmly
so as to allow room for the guidance of God in your lives.
Do not worry about the rest.
